World Timezone Converter
Need to schedule a meeting with colleagues in another country? Book a flight across hemispheres? Read a server log timestamped in UTC? This timezone converter handles it all. Pick your source time, your source timezone, and the target timezone — the conversion accounts for daylight saving time automatically.
Understanding UTC
Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is the global standard from which all other timezones are offset. It doesn't observe daylight saving. When scheduling cross-timezone events, many teams communicate in UTC to avoid confusion.
Daylight Saving Time
Many timezones shift their clocks forward in spring and back in autumn. Because the shift date depends on local rules, the offset between two cities can change during the year. For example, New York is UTC-5 in winter but UTC-4 in summer. This converter uses your browser's Intl data, which reflects the current DST rules, so the answer is always correct for the date you chose.
How the Input Is Interpreted
The date and time you enter is treated as the wall-clock time in the "From" timezone — i.e., what a clock on the wall would read in that city at that moment. It's then translated to the wall-clock time in the "To" timezone.
