Generate QR Codes for Any URL or Text
QR codes (Quick Response codes) are two-dimensional barcodes that any modern smartphone camera can read. Use them to link to your website, share a Wi-Fi password, encode a phone number, or pass any short string of text to a physical or printed medium.
How To Use This Generator
- Type or paste your text or URL on the left.
- Choose a size — 256 px is plenty for screens; 600+ for print.
- Pick an error correction level (higher = more damage-resistant but denser code).
- Click Download PNG to save the image.
Error Correction Levels
- L (Low): recovers up to 7% of data. Cleanest code, good for screens.
- M (Medium): 15%. A solid default.
- Q (Quartile): 25%. Use when printing at small sizes.
- H (High): 30%. Withstands dirt, logos over the code, and creasing.
Good Practices
- Keep the payload short — under ~150 characters works best.
- Always test your printed QR by scanning it with a phone before distributing.
- Use high contrast (dark code on light background).
- Leave a quiet zone (white margin) around the code — at least four modules wide.
Privacy
QR codes are generated in your browser. Nothing you encode is sent to a server, so it's safe to use for private URLs, tokens, or Wi-Fi credentials.
